BK’S KORNER
I hope that Psalm 34 has been meaningful to you as I have preached through it over the past three weeks.  It has spoken to me that’s for certain. The Worship has been wonderful lately. As David said in Psalm 34, “(we) will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in (our) mouth.” 

I want to give an update on the Hurricane Relief that we collected.  We sent $4500 to the East Tennessee Baptist Association. They are located in Newport, Tennessee on the eastern border.  They are in an area where three rivers merge.  Many in that area were devastated by the floods, including at least one church.  The association is obviously stepping in to help in the recovery process. Your donations will help East Tennessee Baptist Association as they minister to those who have been affected.

As you begin to be thankful during this season, do not forget to thank God for our church and what He is doing here.  It is wonderful to see God at work and especially wonderful to hear that you all recognize it. I look forward to the new year with high expectations.  I want more than an active church, I want a church that is leading people into a relationship with God through Christ. I want us to be bearing the fruit of salvation and a closer walk with God.  That is my prayer. 

I hope you will plan to attend all of the different activities we will have going on during the Holiday season.  Our Christmas musical and Taste of Christmas on December 15. Christmas Eve Candlelight Lord’s Supper on December 24. Our Family Gathering on December 25.  Also, the many Christmas parties you will have the opportunity to attend.  Enjoy them and let the Light of Christ shine in your hearts during this season.

Be sure to be grateful this Thanksgiving. I hope you get to spend time with the people you love. Be thankful for them. People who we love are a blessing from God.
