BK’S KORNER
You can really feel the excitement in our church as God blesses us. I was so excited yesterday morning when I peeked into the New Sunday School class. I saw three couples that had never been to Sunday School before! I saw two couples that have not even been to church since I have been here! New classes reach new people…. They taught us that in Seminary. Hahaha. I know that Joey and Ramona worked hard and invited many people leading up to yesterday.
If you do not attend Sunday School, you should. You will get more precise biblical teaching. Teaching that will help you grow in your walk with the Lord. You will get and feel more plugged in to church life. You will develop relationships with others who are trying to live out their salvation as well. Together we will shine a light in our community.
Hope that you will make plans to attend the Dixie Echoes concert on Sunday August 18 at 5:30 pm. The Dixie Echoes are a gospel quartet. If you like that kind of music, then I think you will enjoy. Hope to see you there.
Please put two dates on your calendar. Saturday September 28, 9 am. Also, Saturday October 12 at 9 am. Why you ask? The Pumpkins are coming! That’s right the First Baptist Church Pumpkin Patch will be returning. We will need all hands on deck to help unload pumpkins. This will be another great year of interacting with our community in the Patch.
If you missed Sunday School this past Sunday we have promoted. I should have been more deliberate and communicated much better about this. So this coming Sunday all kids will go the the class that represents the grade they are starting this year.
It has been a good summer season here that the First Baptist Church. Now it is on to the fall season. Expect God to do great things. Look for Him to do great things.
