Law for the Soul

Sunday we returned to our sermon series through the Psalms by looking at Psalm 19. David proclaims, “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” (v.7) There are things in God’s Word we will not like and we will disagree with often. We have a tendency to want to twist God’s Word to accommodate our sensibilities, but this is wrong, always. God’s Word is meant to twist, or transform, us into what God has called us to be. Do you see God’s Word, the Law, as perfect and yourself as needing correction? Does God’s Word revive your soul where you can declare the Law as good?
