BK’S KORNER
Well everyone, the fall season is just about upon us. Soon it will be time for pumpkins, fall festival, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Clear your calendars for Saturday September 24. That is the day the Pumpkins are scheduled to arrive. They are scheduled to be here at 9 am. We will set up the patch and get ready on Saturday, September 17. Hope that you will plan to help in the Pumpkin Patch when you can. It is a great ministry to our community. Let’s do it for them.
I hope you have enjoyed the Summer Sunday Nights at FBC. Thank you for attending them. For now, they are over. We will see what happens in the future. I’m sure we will do something again at some point.
Last night I was asked a question. It is actually the kind of question that I should be asked. I was asked, “What do we do now?” That is the perfect question. The perfect question that we each should ask ourselves. Our Sunday school classes should ask it of themselves. Our church needs to ask it of its self. It is truly the right question at the right time for FBC. Of course, when it comes to the church, I need to give vision, guidance and leadership in that regard. Pray for us as we seek the Lord to see exactly what the next step is for FBC. Your Sunday school class should discuss how you, as a group, will get out into our community with the gospel. How are you going to show the love of Christ to those outside of our church? You should also be asking this question of yourself as an individual. Ask God to give you someone or show you some way that He wants to use you in His Kingdom’s work. We have some good days ahead for The First Baptist Church; of that I am sure. I am very pleased and excited with the current state of the church.
Continue to pray for our church and bless our community. Ask God to move in a way that He never has. Please pray for Cody. The teenagers in our community need a mighty move of God among them. They need to have a life changing experience with His grace. Pray as Cody seeks to minister among them.
Everyone have a good week. Hope you all are settling in to the new school year. Blessings to you all
