YOUTH MINISTER UPDATE

Church Family,

One of the consistent themes we see throughout Scripture is the call to be ready for the return of Christ. Jesus reminds us that no one knows the day or the hour, but He also makes it clear that His return will come suddenly. For believers, this is not meant to cause fear, but to shape how we live each day.

Readiness is not about guessing timelines—it’s about faithfulness. It means living with our hearts anchored in Christ, walking in obedience, and keeping our focus on what truly matters. When we understand that Jesus could return at any moment, it changes our priorities. It moves us from complacency to intentionality, from distraction to purpose.

This urgency also carries over into how we share our faith. The gospel is not something to be kept to ourselves. It is the good news that the world desperately needs, and we have been entrusted with it. Being ready for Christ’s return means not only preparing our own hearts, but also helping others be ready by pointing them to Him.

For our students, this is an especially important lesson. They need to see a faith that is active, expectant, and real. When they see adults living with a sense of purpose—loving others, speaking truth, and walking closely with Christ—they learn what it means to live ready.

My prayer is that we would be a church marked by this kind of readiness—grounded in Christ, faithful in our calling, and bold in sharing the hope we have. May we live each day in light of His return, trusting Him and pointing others to Him along the way.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we seek to lead our students in this truth.

In Christ,
Cody
