YOUTH MINISTER UPDATE
Church Family,
This past week, Pastor Keith’s sermon from Matthew 21:1–11 gave us a powerful picture of the people’s response to Jesus as He entered Jerusalem. As He came riding in, the crowd responded spontaneously—laying down their cloaks, waving palm branches, and crying out in praise. Their reaction wasn’t planned or forced; it flowed from hearts that recognized something significant was happening in their midst.
That kind of response challenges us. When we truly recognize who Jesus is and what He has done, our natural response should be worship, obedience, and a willingness to follow Him. It’s a reminder that our faith is not meant to be passive or reserved, but active and expressed in the way we live our lives each day.
As we think about our students, this is exactly what we hope to see—a genuine, heartfelt response to Christ that shapes their actions, their priorities, and their relationships. We want to create opportunities where they can encounter Him and respond in faith, just as the crowd did.
With that in mind, I want to share that we will have a summer camp sign-up sheet available this Wednesday, with a deadline of May 6. Camp is always an incredible opportunity for students to step away from distractions, focus on their relationship with Christ, and respond to what God is doing in their lives. We are praying that this will be a meaningful time of growth, decision, and renewed commitment for our students.
We will also have fundraising opportunities coming up soon, and if you are interested in helping sponsor a student for camp, please feel free to reach out to me. Your support can make a lasting impact in a student’s life.
Thank you for continuing to support and pray for our youth ministry. Let’s be a church that not only recognizes who Jesus is, but responds to Him with our whole lives.
In Christ,Cody
