YOUTH MINISTER’S UPDATE
Church Family,
I want to thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support of our youth ministry. It is a blessing to serve alongside a church that genuinely cares about investing in the next generation and walking with them as they grow in their faith.
A quick reminder that the sign-up sheet for Hot Hearts is available. This weekend continues to be an important opportunity for our students to step away from distractions, spend focused time in God’s Word, and be encouraged in their walk with Christ. Please continue to pray for our students and leaders as we prepare.
Looking ahead to January, we are also excited to announce upcoming evangelism training for our students. This training will help equip them to confidently share their faith in everyday life—at school, with friends, and within their communities. We would love for parents to be involved as well, as modeling a lived-out faith at home is one of the most powerful ways students learn to share the Gospel. More details will be coming soon.
After BK’s challenge to us this past Sunday, Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14–16 are especially fitting: “You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Evangelism is not only about what we say, but about how we live. When our students see adults walking faithfully, serving joyfully, and loving others well, they learn what it means to shine Christ’s light in a dark world.
May we continue to be a church that doesn’t hide the light God has given us, but boldly lives it out—so that our students, and those watching them, are drawn toward the hope found only in Christ.
In Christ,
Cody Dowden
