Youth Ministry Update

Church Family,

I want to begin by thanking you for all the support and kind words you shared with me after my sermon last week. Your encouragement means more than you know, and I am grateful to serve in a church that lifts up its ministers and walks with them in grace.

We also had an incredible Purpose Weekend, and I am still celebrating what God did in the lives of our students. Throughout the retreat, we saw breakthroughs, honest conversations, renewed commitments, and a deeper understanding of what it means to rest in Jesus. Several students shared how God spoke to them in meaningful ways, and I believe the seeds planted this past weekend will continue to bear fruit in the weeks and months ahead. Thank you for your prayers, your support, and your trust as we guide these young hearts toward Christ.

This week, Pastor Keith’s sermon from Isaiah 58 reminded us what true worship looks like. It isn’t only about what we do inside the church walls—it’s about how we live out God’s heart for justice, compassion, and mercy in our daily lives. God calls His people to a faith that moves, a faith that serves, a faith that lifts up those who are hurting. As we lead our students, that message is especially important. They need to see a church that doesn’t just talk about God’s love but demonstrates it in action.

Thank you, church family, for being that example. Let’s continue to walk forward together with open hands and willing hearts, ready to live out the faith we proclaim.

In Christ,
Cody Dowden
