MUSIC MOMENTS
Well, what a time of worship we had Sunday through the music and God’s Word. The enemy tried very hard to thwart God’s Plan or just make it difficult for the music team to put together. Thank you, Dear Lord for guiding us for what You wanted to glorify Yourself.
The last song we sang Sunday morning “O Praise His Name” has a very catchy chorus. It touches our hearts and is easy to sing.
CHORUS:
“PRAISE The Name of The Lord our God.
O praise His Name forevermore.
For endless days,
We will sing Your praise
O Lord, O Lord our God.”
Easy enough! Right? Not so much for PammieK. She could barely sing the words. They struck a chord deep in her heart like no verse has ever before. She could not get past envisioning herself as an eyewitness to that graphic moment in time. So, imagine for yourself:
I cast my mind to Calvary here
Jesus bled and died for me.
I see His wounds, His Hands, His Feet.
My Savior on that cursed tree.
His Body bound and drenches in tears.
They laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb.
The entrance sealed by heavy stone.
Messiah, still and alone.
“O Praise His Name” Anastasis is the Greek word for “resurrection,” The song written in 2015 by Benjamin Hastings, Dean Ussher & Marty Sampson. They wanted to write an Easter-like song about Jesus, our Savior, The Sacrifice, His Victory over death, our Hope of Heaven all in one song.
We know that Calvary was not the end of the Story. But take time this week to:
“Cast your mind to Calvary & thank God for His Son!”
Love y’all lots,
Billy & PammieK
