Music Moments

Dear FBCBC Light Bearers,

Sunday Morning in BK’s message, he asked us: What do we do when we find ourselves in a drought (dry spell, want, inadequacy, failure, destitute, emotionally done, lack of inspiration, depressed)? God’s Word says: “Wait on The LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Psalm 27:14

In the past several weeks, there have been opportunities to get out-of-the-dumps and out of our comfort zones by serving others. Back in November, we went outside the church for “Sunday in the BC Park.” We shared food, family, fellowship, fun, prayer and witnessing. Then there was “Movie Night” in the Family Life Center watching The Polar Express, drinking hot chocolate, and eating popcorn and s’mores. The kiddos from the community showed up in their PJs and were treated with lots of love and laughter.

This past Saturday, some of our FBCBC living stones set up a booth at “Christmas in The Park.” What could have been just an ordinary night, turned into a spectacular night! Our members were encouraged by folks who came hungry for The Word of God and asked for Bibles. They handed out soul winning tracks and FBCBC church info. When they were done, they had nothing left. No Bibles, no tracks, no church info, no energy. Even a couple of our ladies had to find a ride home.

Sunday’s “Pancakes with our Pastor” was a tremendous success. The breakfast buffet provided by Cheryl Royal’s Sunday School class was phenomenal! For our Call to Worship our Wednesday night Children’s Group sang “Born is The King. It’s Christmas!” After church some of our children went Christmas caroling around town. What a blessing they are to those who cannot get out of their homes! Thanks Lynn and Candace Todora.

How can we serve? How can we help? Pray about it! There are lots of people at FBCBC who can get you plugged in!

Love y’all! Billy & PammieK
