MUSIC MOMENTS

What a beautiful day we had in The Lord’s House yesterday! The sound of folks singing, children giggling, and The Holy Spirit moving was truly a blessing. Each time we come together as The Body of Christ it seems to be a great habit to invite The Presence of The Holy Spirit into our midst. Yielding to Him makes us better.

As soon as our church service was over yesterday, a sweet little girl, who had participated in The Lord’s Supper for the very first time, we immediately to her grandmother. The child asked her MIMI, who was brushing her hair back from her face, a question. “Mimi, you know what we just did in church?” Her Mimi asked, “You mean The Lord’s Supper?” The little girl replied, “Yes, well, I didn’t really understand all about it.”

This child went directly to the one she knew could answer her question and Mimi did. They have a relationship. Mimi took the time right then and there to define what The Lord’s Supper is and how important it is that we remember what Christ did for us.

That is exactly how we should be with God. We can go to Him with anything. It’s about a relationship and it’s about the “remembrance” of The Lord’s Supper. Webster’s dictionary refers to “remembrance” as the act of recalling to mind or the state of bearing in mind, the ability to remember (memory), a specific memory or a person or event, or a token or memento given to keep someone or something in memory. May we never get too old to talk to our Heavenly Father.

For most of us, we will never forget the day we were saved, baptized and partook of The Lord’s Supper. Thank You, Lord, for doing for us what You did to save our souls. May we be a witness for you.

Love ya’ll, Billy & PammieK
