MUSIC MOMENTS

As we watched the Texas State Mission Video Sunday Morning, it was disappointing to hear that those volunteers could not witness for Christ in certain places in California. It is common knowledge that on overseas mission trips you cannot share The Gospel, but it seems odd that we would be discouraged from sharing The Word of God here in the United States. There is still freedom in Southeast Texas to share The Love of Christ with those right here in Bridge City.

We will be given a couple of opportunities to share The Gospel in the next three months. In September and October, our “Pumpkin Patch” provides ample opportunities to speak to people about Jesus. The Patch has been set up and waiting for those pumpkins to arrive next Saturday, 9/27. Your help is greatly needed to help unload them and deeply appreciated. Also, on the east side of the sanctuary there is a table where you can sign up to work in The Patch. You get to choose the day and time you are free to help-out, Don’t be shy. Making conversation with others is easy and the pumpkins sell themselves.

The other way you will be able to share Christ is at BC Park. On November 2nd from 3 — 6 pm, FBCBC will sponsor an Outreach Gathering for our Community. There will be free hotdogs, chips, drinks and desserts. We have horseshoes, washer boards, volleyball, bracelet making, face painting and dominoes/board games for everyone to enjoy. A prayer tent will be set up and manned by Prayer Warriors ready to pray for any need. A “Welcome Table” and an “Information Table” will also be set up for those wanting to find out more about our church. The objectives are to mingle among our community friends and show them we care. Let’s show them God’s Love.
