Music Moments

Dear FBCBC Living Stones,

Almost every morning I go outside and sit on our front porch to listen to some music and read my Bible. As soon as I walk outside, I can see this bird, who obviously has a morning routine as well, fly out from one of our bushes. He flies across our yard to the top of the electrical pole some 70 feet away without taking a break. He stands softly at the pole’s top and perches there to sing.

I turn off my music and listen as he sings “Holy is The Lord.” (I’m not really for sure that’s the title of his tune.) But, it does remind me of Isaiah 6:3 where it says “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, Holy, Holy, is The LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His Glory. Then I read Psalm 19:1-4 and it says,
“The heavens declare the glory of God;
The skies proclaim the work of His Hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
Night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
No sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
Their words to the ends of the world.”

Just as those clouds display God’s Glory, so does that bird. When I hear that songbird chirping, I know he is singing as loudly as he can to display God’s Glory. Then I ask myself: Do I display God’s Glory as readily as the rest of His creations.

Love y’all,
Billy & PammieK
