WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE………………
With all the uncertainty in the world, every now and then, I like to take inventory of the things I know for sure.
This world is full of trouble, untruths, and confusion.

I have had my taste of trouble and lies and confusion in my life.  The thing is, I have told lies in my life which caused trouble and confusion.  It caused trouble for me and other people in my life.  It’s been a very long time since I lived this way. I am far from perfect, but when God saved me, those things are some of what I fought hard to change in my life.  I still make mistakes, but it bothers me a great deal if I become aware that I’ve lied about something or have been misunderstood in my conversation with others.

I remember a sermon I heard quite a while ago, but the truth from this sermon spoke strongly to me. I have always remembered it, because I spent a very long time blaming myself for every bad thing that happened to me.  I have been able to share this with others through the years who I felt needed the message.   I learned that we are not responsible for every bad thing that happens to us in our lives.  Sometimes we bring them on ourselves, as I stated above, but many times, it is the evil in other people that caused our trouble and heartache.  That sermon changed my life.

The most important thing I learned form this sermon is that it’s not the people that caused the trouble for us, but Satan working through them.

Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”.
Everything I know for sure comes from the Word of God.  These I’ve mentioned today are just a few.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world”.

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, the deceiver of the whole world – he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
I Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”.
Thank you, God, for saving me and I know that everyone who has received the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ can relate.

This is the greatest truth I know for sure, and it changed the world!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

For His Glory,
Debbie
