PRAYER

PRAYER . . .
We are praying!  I am praying, or learning to pray!  I am learning that it is so much more than asking for what I need or want.  I am learning that my prayers are too selfish.

We have been asked to pray for that “one” God has laid on our hearts.  I am learning that even in the intercessory prayer, we can be selfish.

As I pray for my “one”, I am not necessarily loving that person.  I was actually shocked at the person God laid on my heart.  I am not seeing them through God’s eyes.  He loves them as He loves me, unconditionally.

So, as I pray for my “one” I am asking God to change me.  Let me see them as He sees them.

God wants all people to be saved.  I Timothy 2:1-7 “First of all, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people...this is good and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth...”

I love our prayer meetings on Sunday evenings.  I see us all growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.  I see us growing in our love for each other in our church family.

We are reaching out into our community to bring the message of Jesus and we are reaching out to the “ones” we are praying for so that they have the opportunity to learn what Christ did for them and that He loves them.

For His glory,
Debbie
