NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS

NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS . . .
“There is no one righteous, not even one.
There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away; they have together become worthless.
There is no one who does good, not even one.   Romans 3: 10-12

Since I have retired, I am able to attend the Ladies Prayer Group on Monday mornings and I am so thankful.  We lift prayers for those in attendance and intercessory prayers for others who are on our hearts.  We give thanksgiving to God for answered prayers, and there are many.

One of our ladies mentioned in her prayer this past Monday that she didn’t understand why God loved her.  I think everyone there feels the same.  I know I do.

It reminded me of Isaiah 64:6 “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” And yet, God knowing all of this, knowing we are imperfect and will never be able measure up gave us Jesus.

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given,
And the government will be upon His shoulder and His name will be called Wonderful,
Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

As our Pastor has preached the last couple of weeks, this is what Merry Christmas means.  We should be able to say those words with more thankfulness in our hearts than ever before.  We can even use the opportunity to share with someone exactly what you mean when you tell them Merry Christmas.
An opportunity for witnessing – Merry Christmas.

For His glory,
Debbie
