OH PRAISE THE NAME

OH PRAISE THE NAME . . .

“Oh praise the Name of the Lord our God

Oh praise His Name forevermore

For endless days we will sing Your praise

Oh Lord, oh Lord our God”

As we move into the new year, our eyes are open to what God will do at FBCBC.  Its obvious He has many plans for our church during 2023 and beyond based on the sermons we are hearing from our Pastor. He’s hearing from God and passing it along to us.

God wants us to get to know each other outside of our comfort zone (age group).  We are all trapped to our schedules and lifestyles and that’s a normal thing, but if we obey what God has for us to do, then all of that will fall into place and I believe we will find plenty of time for everything in our lives.

GOSSIP ABOUT GOD . . .

Now that sounds like a phrase that belongs on a t-shirt.  Maybe?  I will be the first to admit that I gossip. I know that my heart means no harm to anyone, but the fact is God calls that a sin.  And truth be told it’s usually about something I know absolutely nothing about, I don’t know the facts.

So, what do I know that I know?  I know God is on His throne. I know He sent His Son to die so we can live.  I know He saved my life.  I know there are miracles He has performed in my life.  I know the blessings He has given me.

So, we have been given permission to gossip about God and church.  In fact, we have been instructed to do this out in the community.

My plans are to make sure I talk to God first thing every morning.  I will work on keeping my heart turned toward God and His love.  I will work on seeing others the way God sees them, with love.  And then make sure my words that I speak are uplifting and loving.  I know that putting the words on paper is the easy part. We have to be intentional about this.

Maybe I will just ask them where they attend church?  Could be a great starting place.

For His glory, Debbie
