CONSTANTLY SEEKING TRUTH

CONSTANTLY SEEKING TRUTH…………
When you pray for someone for a very long time and you start seeing answered prayers to the right and to the left, you rejoice.

2 Timothy 3:14 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it”.

But, as I rejoice, I find myself on my knees more now than ever before. I am not being a “Debbie Downer”, I just don’t trust Satan, the enemy, who continues to roam.
I Peter 5:8 “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

The person I used to be just grabbed ahold of the good happening around me and probably bragged a little. I am not that person anymore. God has taught me many things and one is to be “sober minded and alert”. I don’t take anything for granted and my mind is on high alert.

I, like many of you I am sure, have lived for a very long time surrounded by lies. We know who that is, the father of lies, Satan.

John 8:44 “The devil……when he lies he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.
The more I read scripture, the more I find my answers to all the things swirling around in my head. We have read these things in the Bible and heard them for all of our lives. As we live out our lives, these things we have been taught through the years can start becoming very real to us.

I am happy for my family member and all the good things happening in their life. But I find my biggest joy, is the love I see surrounding them now.

I Corinthians 13:13 “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three: but the greatest of these is love”.
So, I’ve read these scriptures again and find myself filled with joy, thanking God for the blessings, seeking truth always by prayer and the Holy Spirit and being alert to Satan’s schemes.

I believe, in these last days, this is the way to live our lives.
