It sure feels good to be back in the office today after my little quarantine. I am fine, I just get a little tired but that’s it. My heart and prayers go out to everyone who currently has COVID. Especially those who have been hospitalized. I think about you often throughout the day and whenever I do, I voice a prayer.
As a result of this outbreak in our community and church we have made some decisions to minimize our contact with each other in order to slow the spread. We will not have Sunday School, Sunday night activities or Wednesday night activities until the beginning of 2021. We are still having Sunday Morning worship. We are not going to an online service only. Of course I believe you all know how to take care of yourselves and your family and the decision is yours. However, if you are comfortable, I do encourage you to join us on Sunday mornings. I hope you can attend and in fact I want you to. You make the best decision for you in regard to your walk with God. If you do come:
Please do not come if you have been sick within the last 10 days
Please wear a mask
Please social distance
Please set your heart on Worship
We are going to have some Angel Tree opportunities to help buy Christmas gifts for families in need. Please check this Newsletter for the particulars on that.
As we move into this Fall Season don’t forget to be grateful. Be sure to Thank God for His wonderful blessings that He has blessed you with. Even during this crazy year God has still been good to us. We are still in His hands. He is still our Lord.
We will then move right into the celebration of the Birth of our Savior. It truly is (should be) a very spiritual and wonderful season of the year. Let us all use this opportunity to make sure we are focused on the things of God. There have been and are currently so many things that the enemy is using to distract us. He is taking our minds off spiritual things. Let us refocus and recommit during this season.
Love you all. Take care of yourselves. Take as much care of your spiritual self as you do your physical.
