BK's Korner, 1/5/2021
I thought we had a great day in The Lord yesterday. The worship was inspiring. Also, there seemed to be a sweet sense of fellowship in the air yesterday. I saw many of you going out of your way to greet people. It was absolutely fantastic. It is so great to see people making their way back to gathering with the body of Christ. It is never the “not the time” to “be the church!”
2021 has a lot of uncertainty as we head into it. So much is unknown. It is unlike any year prior. However one thing is sure, we will still “be the church.” We are going to be faithful stewards of the ministry that God has given us here in our community. We will continue to carry the mantle of serving and shepherding here in our community. Plans may change. What we do and how we do them may change, but the foundation of what we are doing and why we do it will never change. God’s commission is unchanging. In fact I believe you could say that our community needs us to be the church now more than ever. We will be faithful to that end.
I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season. I hope you ate too much and spent time with your families. Now it is time to get back to work both in our secular and our spiritual lives. Make sure that taking care of your spiritual health and fulfilling your spiritual responsibilities are on your priority list for this new year. You won’t regret it I’m sure.
Everyone continue to take care of yourselves. Pray for the sick. Enjoy the sun during the day and the clear skies at night. See you very soon.
Blessings and love to all
