BK’S KORNER . . .
And so it begins. The Christmas season! Christmas parties have started, our Musical & Taste of Christmas are next weekend then we will have our Christmas Eve Service and Christmas day gathering.
It’s the season for Joy, light, gifts and family. Actually, it’s the season for remembering and honoring. We remember the greatest gift that has ever been offered to us. The gift of salvation through God’s son. We honor Him by making sure that we worship during this season. It’s easy to be so busy preparing, cooking, wrapping and traveling that we forget to Worship. Make it a point this year to honor Him with you presence in worship.
There will be several opportunities for you to worship with us. Next Sunday evening, Dec 15 you can join us in the sanctuary for our Christmas Choir Musical, “Messiah”. I feel certain the music will bless you. Afterward we invite you to stick around for some food and fellowship with our annual “Taste of Christmas”.
Another opportunity will be on Christmas Eve, December 24 at 5:30 pm. for our Communion and Candlelight service. Again, I expect this to be a wonderful time to remember and worship our Savior and His birth.
Finally, you can join us on Christmas day December 25 at 8 am. We will gather as a family in the sanctuary. This will be a very informal gathering. Just come as you are! Seriously! We will just gather for a few minutes as a family. We will sing some carols, I will share a short devotional and we will pray. We will honor Him by making sure part of His Day is actually given to Him.
Worship slows us down. It makes us intentional and reflective. Please be sure to make worship of The Lord a part of you Christmas celebration in some way.
We had another great day yesterday. I love worshipping with my church family. See you next week. Blessings to you all
